Calling all young artists and photographers with a willingness to be experimental. #Online #Photography #Workshops this #Easter with Artist Lindsey Smith for Young People aged 12-18 years: A huge Thank you to Rob for taking part in our project Women’s Rugby: Rucks, Roots & Resilience. Rob Williams played rugby for Lewes men for 25 years. He turned to coaching in 2017 and has coached women’s rugby at grassroots level. Taking inspiration from a range of historic and contemporary practitioners, the 6 workshops in my Ideas Series explore a range of photography-focused concepts and creative processes. Students are invited to engage with a variety of practical activities that encourage them to be experimental; to try out new ideas and work with photographic images in new ways. Back in October Seaford Head #School invited me to work with their #GCSE #Photography students to explore the theme ‘hands’, in preparation for their upcoming exam. The workshop was great fun, the team work was incredible and the students generated lots of fantastic ideas and images in a very short space of time 👏🏻 Ideas Series is a set of pre-designed workshops and micro-projects that explore a range of photography-focused ideas and creative processes. Taking inspiration from a range of historic and contemporary practitioners, participants are invited to engage with a variety of practical activities that enable them to be experimental; try out new ideas and work with photographic images in new ways. It was such a pleasure to work with #photography academy students and the U18s #womensrugby team @cncsofficial last term for a project funded by @sportingheritagecic and led by #SidelineAssemblyCIC Today is National Sporting Heritage Day - an opportunity to take part in sporting heritage activities across the country and to celebrate the impact sports heritage has on all our lives. Fun was had @ageingwellbh #photography #workshop today, delivered in partnership with @art_in_mind_brighton I was @cncsofficial on Friday last week, working with their fantastic #photography academy students and members of their women’s #rugby team. I am working with @charlotte.petts to collect and collate images and audio interviews, exploring the history of women’s rugby and the impact the #RugbyWorldCup2025 is having on young and current female players. This project is funded by @sportingheritagecic and led by #SidelineAssemblyCIC Hey everyone, I’ve decided to take on the Dip a Day in October Challenge to help end sewage pollution!! Your encouragement and even the smallest donation would be hugely appreciated. As Autumn rolls in, a new academic year gets underway and I embark upon new projects, I’m taking a minute to reflect on some of the fantastic work I was involved in over the Summer months…
